Frequently Asked Questions
10 questions about the wedding cash gift QR.
- Q1. What happens when a guest scans the QR?
- If Toss is installed, the transfer screen opens automatically with the account number, amount, and memo already filled in. The guest just confirms and taps Send.
- Q2. What about guests who don't use Toss?
- Copy the text provided next to the QR and transfer via your own banking app. Use the 'Copy Text' button in this tool.
- Q3. Why is there no KakaoPay QR?
- KakaoPay does not officially provide an API for generating arbitrary user payment QR codes (only 'My QR'). Support may be added if this changes.
- Q4. Is it safe to publicly share the QR with many guests?
- We do not recommend sharing on public channels (official SNS, etc.). Limit sharing to friends and family via KakaoTalk or private invitation links.
- Q5. The account number displays incorrectly.
- Check for hyphens and digit count. Toss is lenient about hyphens, but some banking apps are stricter. Entering pure digits also works.
- Q6. The QR won't scan.
- Check camera distance and lighting. Some cameras have a separate QR scan mode. Naver, Kakao, and Samsung cameras all recognize QR codes in normal mode.
- Q7. Can the guest change the pre-filled amount?
- Yes. The amount can be edited in the Toss app. The value in the QR is just a suggestion.
- Q8. Can I use this for first birthday parties or funerals?
- Yes, select the event from the dropdown. Only the share text title changes; QR behavior is the same.
- Q9. I'm worried about personal information leaks.
- This tool runs entirely in the browser — no server. Accounts and holder names are never transmitted externally and are stored only in localStorage. Other users' devices start with a blank state.
- Q10. I need a larger QR for PDF or print.
- Download the QR PNG and scale it up for the print shop. The source resolution is 240×240, but because it is vector-based, quality holds up to 2–3× enlargement.
